The Trestle-Board “And the Trestle-Board is for the Master workman to draw his designs upon”
Brethren of Waynesville Masonic Lodge #163 I am honored to have been chosen by you to serve as Worshipful Master for the year 2007. My journey to the East started on April 27, 2002 when I received the three degrees at the first Grand Master’s One Day Class. I started pro-teming at the Jr. Deacon station in 2003 and have progressed up the line each year. It has been a truly enjoyable and rewarding journey. We are all aware of the upcoming Grand Master’s One Day Class to be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Having been a member of that first class and as a mentor at the two following classes, I am well aware of the confusion that these new Masons will have at the end of the day. It is impossible to grasp and retain everything that has just occurred. It is for this reason that Waynesville Lodge will be conducting the three degrees, each separately, in concurrent lodge sessions. During concurrent lodge, the degree can be stopped at any time for questions and explanations. All newly raised Masons, as well as any past One Day Class Mason are encouraged to attend these sessions. It is the intent of the lodge that these sessions will help our new members become familiar with our proceedings and feel comfortable in coming to lodge. These sessions will be special meetings with lodge convening at 7:00 PM each night. The schedule for these sessions is as follows: Entered Apprentice Tuesday, April 17th Fellow Craft Tuesday, May 15th Master Mason Tuesday, June 19th Again, thank you for allowing me to serve as your Worshipful Master for the year 2007. Fraternally, Mark Mason Worshipful Master Waynesville Lodge #163 F.&A.M. (watch this page for more light into the plans of the coming year) |
